AFTER 10 YEARS OF HAVING psych rock 101 on the radio I Texas Joe Valles ..have decided to close it down ..it ran from Jan 2003...to jan 2013 10 years...most of it was alot of fun....but these past several months....I could not and felt i didnt want to keep up with the show....for many reason....which I will not discuss......here....but thnx to Chris Maley and Mario Munoz for the time there at KMBH FM 88.9 like i said for the most part it was fun....I thank all the people who were thier in the past who helped me...it was fun...i miss alot of those people who are not there...anymore.....who were amazing giving people.....but time has a way of making us march on...nothing lasts forever.....not even memories !!!
..i will say onething the economy does have something to do with my decision to stop the radio show at KMBH......for those of you who dont ...know...i did the radio show for free.....I never got paid in 10 years....not one dollar....for my services...in the end ..i did it with a clear concience...and a giving and open heart.....but when I could not give for free anymore.....its time to move on..... it was time to hang it up there.....at that radio station.....no big farewell party..or greeting cards...or dinner....it was all quiet and hush hush......and its time to move on...!!!!
I will start a new radio show...online.......that will be more....extensive and more entertaining...and it will run longer for more hours......but on the internet.....as more and more people are becoming extremely picky...and not having patience with terrestrial radio ads and segments they dont want to hear.....i feel the same way.....in order to keep my audience....I will have to ....control everything...and run my own ...online radio space ship....I am the captain...and i call the shot.s......and i do what i want with it......and i will entertain people.....should be fun...its in the works for the future...I will have podcasts.....for sure and downloads.....
so for me farewell kmbh 88.9 fm....I wish the station good vibes....it was fun for 10 year..but its time to move on.....
Now for the band......we are organizing our new songs to start recording...and more than likely we will have another new album out by the end of the year....Mermaid Blues is the title of the new album....it has been delayed.....and all the reason is not enough money...to fund our projects.......but we will get it out....it will be available as a download 1st then as a cd and quite possibly on wax 33 rpm....we will keep you posted...its gona be very psychadelic...and it will be a "Head" Phone ..album....like...Pink Floyds dark Side of The moon....or Robin Trowers Bridge of Sighs......so get ready ! ha ha !
