Very hot summer day but we had a beautiful old oak tree shade and a nice breeze to help us out on our very 1 st gig performing at Thirsty Penguin in Liberty Hill Texas .
Its 2018...Website is open again on September 7th 2018
Well Hello ...we have been closed down for several years but our website is open again.
A lot has happened since the last entry on this website...A lot. !
Where to start......since it looks like the last time this website was up was in May of 2016!
Several things of note....
Texas Joe Valles has been living in Austin ,Texas since May of 2017. The move was needed in order to bring the band forward. It was a much needed move.
The band is still Texas Joe Valles and Eloy Valles but the third chair in the band for a bass player is in a Nebulous position. Due to life demands Noe Valles , for the foreseeable future will not be having much of an active role in the band.
Martin Carrizales who had been helping the band for many years decided to move to Southern California. A good job was waiting for him there so he took it. He has not been an active member of the band since May of 2017.
So now for the future of this band.....multiple changes or morphing's will happen to the band.
Eloy and Texas Joe Valles have decided...for the time being not to have a steady and or permanent bass player in the band and we will have a revolving door of friends and guests as bass players for the near future. There is a reason for this. Prior to Texas Joes move to Austin it was decided that the Valles Flying Machine will in fact expand and contract in personnel with the new goals we are setting for ourselves.
This has come about because we have written so much music and lyrics, We will have to use many different people for the vision we have of our musical future, live performance and recorded output.
The band is dedicated to expanding its musical palette and our songwriting so to this extent, many changes will be in effect. Least of all staying as a powertrio.
Valles Flying Machine has Three different approaches it will explore in the future...but in essence it will be six ! The best way to explain it is Valles Flying Machine will be 3 different bands able to put on 3 different types of performances.
If you count the fact that we sing in English and Spanish it doubles the band to six choices of performance and recording output ! A lot to say the least. It will happen and has already been going on to some extent for man years. For the future we will follow a formula. it goes as Follows;
1. The Original Power Trio...Valles Brothers Band....and Valles Flying Machine.
with songs and performance in English and Spanish.
An album called Mermaid Blues...already written and just needs to be recorded. The album is huge with a collection of about 34 song ! it will be massive. More on this album later.
2. An Acoustic Duo...Eloy and Texas Joe Valles which has been going strong for the past three or four years with a very successful track record.
It mainly revolves around Congas,vocals and 12 string guitar, but we are not opposed to other instruments showing up in the mix . again some songs in English and Spanish.
18 to 22 songs have been written and the working title of the acoustic album is ..
The Honey and Granola Treehugger Sessions.....kinda a play on several things haha.
3. A New Wave Synth retro 1980s group...complete with drum machines analogue synth keyboards
and different colored Ray Ban Glasses ha ha ! Again both in English and Spanish.
The album title is...New Wave Synth Album Vol 1.
Not Very original....but it speaks volumes if your in our head space...!
We have always loved early 1980s New Wave Music but could never afford the Synths....things are different now.....and changes are coming....it will be fun.....demos for this band are already up on our music site....and we will place some New Wave Demos on the music player on this site. So people can hear the drastic but fun Synth Driven Songs we are working on .....

Sunday May 29th 2016 we got back on track for the album...Mermaid Blues...3 songs were worked on and we have video up on You Tube of the 1 st time practice sessions of 2 of the songs....The Mermaids Seahorse and Sundial & The Bong Druid......another song we worked on is called....Eloy's Rockin' Space Truck....this song has been around since 2014 !!!
The other 2 songs are new titles.
so let us put up the Pictures and we will say a little something about them to catch up..ok..?
Just for the Curious ...above is the complete list of all the songs for the Album : Mermaid Blues. Cool Stream song # 22 is the very last song for the album..it was written very recently in April of 2016. Floating Airships the 1st track was recorded back in July of 2015. This song is done and can be downloaded in Alternative Mix here on this website...or the offical mix on our Bandcamp.com site.
The guitar is Texas Joe near mint early 1980's Peavey Razer Guitar used for the very 1st time at practice Sunday May 29th 2016. it was used for the video deom of the 1 st run practice of the song Sundial....
Next to it is an item Texas Joe Valles HAS BEEN WANTING FOR A SUPER LONG TIME!!! this past Sunday Texas Joe found a 2002 marshall 4x12 cab with original style 1962 grill cloth...plus it looks road worn and is worn so it gives the cab a certin patina to it..The Goal s a full set of Tone Tubby Speakers so we will see..!

Hello back again !! July 30th 2015 Thursday
Hi everybody we are back....after what seems forever....we are back...blogging again.....we have a show.....coming up.. at Mikes Taste of Chicago Pizza......here in Brownsville Texas....Saturday August 1st 2015.....Martin Carrisalez is on Bass Guitar...but Noe Valles time permitting,might be able to show up and play a song or 2 with us.....so it might be very kool if you show should be fun....we are also gearing up for the John Lennon Fest on Saturday August 15th 2015 ....but things have a bit of a tangle on that one we might or might not play the event...time schedules got screwed up....and locations got moved so its up in the air...we played the festival back in 1987,1988 and 1994....and it was fun....but this new show will be more of a revival type thing....and if we play it great if not.....we just keep going fore ward.....

Back Again After Many many months away...! Hello Show Coming !
Hello welcome back its been a long time...since we posted....several things have happened...1 st of all Texas Joe Valles is now living in Austin, Texas .
He has been here since June 2013...getting organized and ready for some shows and events centered around the Austin Texas area. We have been writing new songs for the last year....and Texas Joe has been writing at least Seven new songs since relocating to Austin. We have been in touch with many friends here in the area and have made a bunch of new friends. all this to keep on track and play more shows....write more songs and put more albums out and keep rocking down the highway !

We have a new show coming up very very soon...on Nov 10 th 2013 Sunday 8 p.m. at avery nice Concert venue/bbq eatery named Scholz Beer Garden on San Jacinto Street..here in downtown Austin ,Texas....we will have some special guests get up and jam with us...on our sngs....and it should be alot of fun....we will have alot of new songs to play for our new Austin Fans....and for our Old Fans that live here in Austin..should be alot of fun !!! here is the poster for the show...enjoy..it has all the details.....

Since moving to Austin...this past June 2013....Texas Joe has been overwhelmed by the amazing amount of guitars and musical products for sale all over Austin! its mind blowing !
Texas Joe has aquired some very Kool guitars...and one Super Duper..... AMAZING MIND BLOWING GUITAR PEDAL.....and he has managed to fine tune his ...Old ninteen seventy six Marshall 50 watt head....with a bass mod courtesy of good buddy bill Webb....which we wiill talk about soon....but 1 st guitars.....
Joe Scored of Craigslist a very beautiful Washburn 12 string Electric Acoustic Guitar....that is about 18 years old with original case its pretty awesome....got it for just under 100 bux...90 to be exact...and it is a wonderful 12 string guitar...see below awesome !
A very close friend....turned me on to the Eric Johnson Fuzz Face in GOLD HAMMERITE STYLE.....VERY COOL...have not used it yet..but im sure going to very soon !
Also another very kool present was this Eastwood Reso-Dobro Electric...a very kool guitar....I will be using in the fiuture....never had one before should be alot of fun to play live !
its a great guitar...wonderful sound .....Washburn 12 string.....video of me playing it on You Tube.
Texas Joe also scored...thanks to Eloy Valles help.....what appears to be a 2002 Danelectro 12 string electric guitar.......in metalflake blue....at a very cheap price...in San Marcos, Texas several weeks back.....this guitar has a ghostly sound.....very differant than other 12 strings Texas Joe has...and it is deffinately going on the new album...when we start recording......before the year is over.....Texas Joe has not sussed out the string gauges yet but it is a 9 guage set...but several of the middle strings have to be reconfigured due to the ....impact on the lipstick tube pick ups of the Danelectro.....one thing is for sure..it has its own unique sound as compared to other 12 string guitars......below is Texas Joe ...holding it during ...a break at work....
the guitar had not yet had strings on it and a bad key had to be replaced....but it sounds fantastic now ..for sure....
eloy is about to do a deal on a vintage drumset also....more info soon.....on all of this..but for now take care...and we are back...to a regular blog.....

Psych Rock 101 on KMBH 88.9 FM Closed down after 10 years on the radio Farewell !
AFTER 10 YEARS OF HAVING psych rock 101 on the radio I Texas Joe Valles ..have decided to close it down ..it ran from Jan 2003...to jan 2013 10 years...most of it was alot of fun....but these past several months....I could not and felt i didnt want to keep up with the show....for many reason....which I will not discuss......here....but thnx to Chris Maley and Mario Munoz for the time there at KMBH FM 88.9 like i said for the most part it was fun....I thank all the people who were thier in the past who helped me...it was fun...i miss alot of those people who are not there...anymore.....who were amazing giving people.....but time has a way of making us march on...nothing lasts forever.....not even memories !!!
..i will say onething the economy does have something to do with my decision to stop the radio show at KMBH......for those of you who dont ...know...i did the radio show for free.....I never got paid in 10 years....not one dollar....for my services...in the end ..i did it with a clear concience...and a giving and open heart.....but when I could not give for free anymore.....its time to move on..... it was time to hang it up there.....at that radio station.....no big farewell party..or greeting cards...or dinner....it was all quiet and hush hush......and its time to move on...!!!!
I will start a new radio show...online.......that will be more....extensive and more entertaining...and it will run longer for more hours......but on the internet.....as more and more people are becoming extremely picky...and not having patience with terrestrial radio ads and segments they dont want to hear.....i feel the same way.....in order to keep my audience....I will have to ....control everything...and run my own ...online radio space ship....I am the captain...and i call the shot.s......and i do what i want with it......and i will entertain people.....should be fun...its in the works for the future...I will have podcasts.....for sure and downloads.....
so for me farewell kmbh 88.9 fm....I wish the station good vibes....it was fun for 10 year..but its time to move on.....

Happy New Year everybody hope you are doing well..and are with loved ones these holiday weeks ! ..we wish u the very best.....
Alot is going t change for the Valles Flying Machine and hopefully for the better.....we are ...trying ..to get things organized for some....big changes....and we hope to be up and running as a band....doing shows by ....late febuary or march...we will see.....some changes have already happened but we cant talk about them yet.....they are very good....especially for Noe Valles......changes coming for Texas Joe and Eloy soon also..all 3 of us want the very best for ourselves and our fans and we will get ti to make it !!!. we will talk about this later.....we had a meeting recently...on december 21st...2012.....all three members of the band....and we are going to....make some drastic changes in order for our....music to be heard and for us to be able to play and ....work on records at a proffesional level.....we hope you come along for the ride...we keep coming up with new songs and we keep forcing and pushing foreward...no need to tell you our economy has fucked with our way of doing things very badly....but we are fighting back and are gonna kik ass and....just keep going foreward....theres alot of ass hole people in our live that seem to fuck..with us....at any chance they get ....especially....in our hometown....fuck ups who are jelous...and will never amount to much......but ass wipe people are everywhere.....its nothing new.....just proverbially kik them in the ass....and just keep going foreward...or just ignore them all together....and .....just keep working ..and plowing ahead.....making music....and playing live..!
on that note....last night i purchased in a pawn shop a Zoom H1 mini digital recorder for 22 .00 bux ! ha ha ....its a steal ! ..they go for 99.00 bux new !! i needed something very small to carry with me at all times...and work on song ideas....this is the ticket...it sounds fantastic...24 bit recording !!! ..because this morning.....saturday....january 5 th 2013....i recorded a new song..tentatively titled....
Pathway to The Fields....with this Zoom recorder and my 12 string yamaha guitar....im gonna work on this song all weekend long and hope to have a fully ....realized song by...sunday night....Songs come very easily to me...Texas Joe....ha ha .....if people like them its another story.....but....most people seem to like our music so im ok with it.....anway thats about it for now....Happy New Year to all our fans we wish you the very best...
