Well Hello ...we have been closed down for several years but our website is open again.
A lot has happened since the last entry on this website...A lot. !
Where to start......since it looks like the last time this website was up was in May of 2016!
Several things of note....
Texas Joe Valles has been living in Austin ,Texas since May of 2017. The move was needed in order to bring the band forward. It was a much needed move.
The band is still Texas Joe Valles and Eloy Valles but the third chair in the band for a bass player is in a Nebulous position. Due to life demands Noe Valles , for the foreseeable future will not be having much of an active role in the band.
Martin Carrizales who had been helping the band for many years decided to move to Southern California. A good job was waiting for him there so he took it. He has not been an active member of the band since May of 2017.
So now for the future of this band.....multiple changes or morphing's will happen to the band.
Eloy and Texas Joe Valles have decided...for the time being not to have a steady and or permanent bass player in the band and we will have a revolving door of friends and guests as bass players for the near future. There is a reason for this. Prior to Texas Joes move to Austin it was decided that the Valles Flying Machine will in fact expand and contract in personnel with the new goals we are setting for ourselves.
This has come about because we have written so much music and lyrics, We will have to use many different people for the vision we have of our musical future, live performance and recorded output.
The band is dedicated to expanding its musical palette and our songwriting so to this extent, many changes will be in effect. Least of all staying as a powertrio.
Valles Flying Machine has Three different approaches it will explore in the future...but in essence it will be six ! The best way to explain it is Valles Flying Machine will be 3 different bands able to put on 3 different types of performances.
If you count the fact that we sing in English and Spanish it doubles the band to six choices of performance and recording output ! A lot to say the least. It will happen and has already been going on to some extent for man years. For the future we will follow a formula. it goes as Follows;
1. The Original Power Trio...Valles Brothers Band....and Valles Flying Machine.
with songs and performance in English and Spanish.
An album called Mermaid Blues...already written and just needs to be recorded. The album is huge with a collection of about 34 song ! it will be massive. More on this album later.
2. An Acoustic Duo...Eloy and Texas Joe Valles which has been going strong for the past three or four years with a very successful track record.
It mainly revolves around Congas,vocals and 12 string guitar, but we are not opposed to other instruments showing up in the mix . again some songs in English and Spanish.
18 to 22 songs have been written and the working title of the acoustic album is ..
The Honey and Granola Treehugger Sessions.....kinda a play on several things haha.
3. A New Wave Synth retro 1980s group...complete with drum machines analogue synth keyboards
and different colored Ray Ban Glasses ha ha ! Again both in English and Spanish.
The album title is...New Wave Synth Album Vol 1.
Not Very original....but it speaks volumes if your in our head space...!
We have always loved early 1980s New Wave Music but could never afford the Synths....things are different now.....and changes are coming....it will be fun.....demos for this band are already up on our music site....and we will place some New Wave Demos on the music player on this site. So people can hear the drastic but fun Synth Driven Songs we are working on .....
