Yesterday April 2nd was a pretty hectic day..with family dinners and running around getting Witch Tree radio edit for our manager..Talkin to Roy Z on the fone..discussing mix ideas..talking about the state of the touring industry (abismal!) ...and the future of V.F.M. and..to top it all off a surprize last minute gig for TexasJoe's protoge's ENADO..in the evening....Saturday was a full plate..!
Roy Z`sent us a radio edit of Witch Tree which is very dry and punchy and clear ..yesterday April 2nd..we discussed the fact this one would be good for our European campaign...and it will be such. the 12 string guitars are spread very wide in the mix...and it sounds great..you can listen to it here..as Witch Tree (Roy Z mix #4)

Roy has a unique way of mixing Heavy Metal records..(right now he is in the process of mixing a huge Brazilain Band) so when he mixes our records he brings a very differant perspective..and it really shines as the proof is in the mix !
We had talked to some producers who have worked with Kiss..R.E.M..Widespread Panic..and The B52's but decided to stick with Roy Z
This Producer (Roy Z) has worked with ..Rob Halford & Judas Priest,Bruce Dickensen of Iron Maiden,Yngwie Malmsteen,Helloween,Axl Rose of Guns and Roses,Sebastion Bach of Skid Row,and one of my all time favorites,Uli Jon Roth of the Scorpions...so he brings alot to the table...we are very lucky he enjoys Valles Flying Machine's CRAZY VISION OF ROCK AND ROLL....ha ha ! and we are proud to call him a friend !

and now on to Texas Joe's beautifully and gifted protoge's EANDO..these girls are amazing I love them..they threw a curve ball at me yesterday April 2nd 2011 with a surprize show @ Galleria 409..in downtown Brownsville Texas at the last minute..we had a family dinner to look over ..but luckily enough everything went smooth and I was able to attend to the girls also...
With all that has happened..and all the practice the girls have done playing live,
things went off pretty well with out a hitch...EXCEPT FOR ONE THING..
right about the time the girls hit the 1st note somebody got the bright idea to bring down the lights in the gallery...for some type of ambience..which is thoughtful....
but our Zoom Q 3 (Blue Model) video camera is a light hungry devise..! so our video came out a little blurry.....bummer...
We have to always keep in mind about light when video taping....cause these cameras really need it..! otherwise it was a nice gig..and the people liked EANDO alot. The girls got invited to jam out @ U.T.B. college in Brownsville so that was very kool !

I love the way the artwork @ Galleria 409 it can really add to the vibe of an artist in midflight through a song this picture captures that in my opinion...
above....Oliva hittin a solo while Elizabeth covers the vocal line..Texas Joe loves it when the girls are totally symbiotic with the song and performance.
the girls in a really loud rockin moment..yet people runnin around behind them frantic trying to fix some technical glitch..Thank The Good Lord it was not me running around this time..trying to fix something..more or less things went pretty smooth from my perspective this nite.... ha ha !
Texas Joe feels this is more than likely one of the best pictures of the Galleria 409 show April 2nd 2011 ..EANDO in top form...the girls are best friends but are night and day differant from each other..notice..the differant mics..! its funny how microphones can impart a bit of the artists personality..and here it is glaringly apperant ! wonderful..!

and finnally for our Sunday April 3rd blog...The Zoom Q 3 camera in action.with EANDO...wonderful little cameras when everything is going well and there is enough light..but a source of frustration when there is not enough light..as far as video goes...but the sound quality..is just the bomb ! 24 bit digital stereo sound very sweet and clear ..these little recorders are so amazing !
