MAY 5TH 2012 WE will play a gig at Sparky's Cafe in San Benito Texas..it will be the 1st time ...in quite some time we have a gig...as all 3 bros....so should be fun...if we only had a million dollars we could keep the band going through ruff and tumble besides the good but as we get older it seems its getting tuougher who knows.what will happen....???...this brings up a good point...I can think of 2 gigs recently when we had a shakey start and alot of things were going agianst us yet we were able to pull it together and end the show with a scorching set..!!
the 1st recent gig was in August 2011 at a dumpy joint called El Antro..in Brownsville that no longer exists...where the P.A. had blown out due to ..D.J.'S meesing with the sound system so we had to go all instrumental...ha ha ! at 1st we were about to just blow the gig off and tear down...but the crowd seemed excited about our sound check so we went for it you could feel the excitement in the air..great feeling....!!! pic below...but blurry...
The second gig was July of 2008...in Harlingen Texas....what was to be a awesome gig..at a local park turned out to be a wobbly nightmare/kickass gig/mosquito fest !!! The P.A. was amazing ..brand new..but the sound engineers were complete novices...beginners..it was almost a complete failure....but due to ..our...ass kicking hard rock songs ..we saved the day...i was going through my pictures on my lap top and found this picture....I know ..I was mad as hell..trying to focus..when this picture was taken...or a had just regained my cool...and was going for it....Noe is close to me so I know we were jelling as a band...! in the end we kicked royal ass and finished the gig the crowd was roaring its apporoval i was glad....and relieved....i was more relieved to leave the stage..at this point...!!! but we ended with a huge bang..and thats what mattered the most ! pic below....
...Above.....Shakey ass gig that almost bombed due to blown out house P.A. not our fault...we went totally instrumental..that night...even shouted the song titles to the crowd was funny...but we tore the hell out of all the songs...so it was fun and we saved the gig..! El Antro in Brownsville Texas August 2011...then the club went under soon afterwards..!!! sorry for the bad fotos...but thats all we could find...
one of the most shakiest gigs we have ever had in recent memory...! July 2008...boy was this almost a disaster..!! tons of Mopsquitos...a horrible bunch of sound men! ...bad stage planning...too many drunks...and yours truly almost blowing his lid with alot of rank amatuers! but we saved the gig...and it went well....!!!! word of warning becareful when u plan gigs !!!
