Last night started work on new songs suitable for either Mermaid Blues (5 or 7 song)E.P. & Landing Amongst The Giant Mushrooms L.P. (which will be either a 24 song double or 34 song triple album not sure yet...) ..the 2 songs Texas Joe worked on are based on 12 string electric guitar...
one song being a very Krautrock style number ...in The vein of Can's 1972 album Tago Mago cut entitled "Oh Yeah" with some Yes Fragile and Rush Moving Pictures/Adrain Belew Big Electric Cat era tones... thrown in for good measure...
this song is titled:
1.) Deep In Space....
The second tune is very differant in a Latin Brazilian Carnival Style...titled:
2.) Feathers in The Air ..Dancing Everywhere.....Flowers in The Air......
again both on 12 string electric guitar.
so we keep chugging along (another song title we have ) hoping to finish both albums by the end of 2012...
On another note a representative of Rodney Matthews contacted us today ..about Rodney doing the album artwork...we are very excited to have Rodney do the artwork as his art is amazing and inspiring. Matthews art was used extensively in the 1970's by many prog/psych and hard rock bands for thier album covers and we Valles Flying Machine hope to have his art grace our album covers !
