Hello everybody ! welcome back to our blog..and a revist to the past..(which will not happen often the 1980's and early 1990's that is ..)..ha ha !
Its February 16th 2011 Wednesday and Texas Joe Valles has just finished putting up our first..Album ..titled Tres Hermanos..online for sale..here....

The album was a culmination of 3 songs cut in 1991or 1992 (ill have to check ) @ McCrummy Sound in Haceinda Hieghts California..with Steve McCrumb who was an excellent engineer of sound... and some 2 track live recordings with Steve Trujillo in Anahiem California ..in 1996..at some rehersal studio who's name eludes me but it was a very clean and pro studio..that I remember.. Ill have to ask Eloy and Noe if they remember!
anyway we tried very hard to make the best recordings possible ..saying that most of the time we had a shitload of things going against us back then..
high cost of recording..in a pro studio..
time off from work..
busy work days
and most of all money..!!!! it was horrendously expensive to recordback then and money was and always has been in short supply..for our band yet we struggled and did what we could to make it happen in the studio...and here is our 1st baby steps into the Pro Leagues with our 1st cd.!
We didnt have a studio and Pro Tools and computers like we do now..but we did have alot of time together ,alot of energy..and we were hellbent on making an album!
IN the end we were very lucky and successful in that we made an album back then..alot of bands moved to Hollywood with dreams of making it big..and never even made an album during thier stint there..we were one of the lucky ones..! and it was hard too.! anyway here it is alot of our old "greatest hits" and to our new fans some really kool rock and roll...
plus alot of our Spanish Rock stuff is here also..so..enjoy ..! we hope it brings back memories to our old fans and we hope our new fans find something kool to party too..ha ha !
Now on to a Sweet and Sticky subject..(from an old 1980's hard rock song hee hee ) Girls !!!!!!!!
If not done right the subject of girls in the life of a rock and roll band...(THEY WILL ALWAYS BE AROUND IN SOME FORM OR ANOTHER..).can come off kinda stupid and wrong...so..Ill try and hit this subject..in a kind of intresting and colorful way so as not to sound dumb..ok..?
The Valles Brothers///Valles Flying Machine..has always had the fortune of having beautiful young ladies around...to help..to party with..to talk too..to enjoy the music...and to have as girlfriends..carry guitars up 3 flights of stairs...carry a case of beer across Mexican Border....buy you an ice cream..help move giant speakers across Hollywood Blvd deep in traffic...listen to your frustrations..make you tortillas and tamales..and cookies..and or be loves..and lovers ..why frigging lie right..? and it has been amazing..in the end I cannot complain...we sometimes always want more...but then sometimes you have to say whooo...tooooo much..!
in these pictures and on the bonus pictures available as downloads with Tres Hermanos..you will see The Valles Boys with differant young and pretty ladies at differant points in our carreer..and we loved them all ! great people ! on the picture...taken in 1991 on Hollywoods Sunset Strip during the early 1990's Glam Metal heyday..are two pretty girls who stopped and took a picture with us in Front of Gazzarrii's Club..they wanted to party with us ..but had to scramble off to join thier..huge party of people..they were with that night..it was amazing thousands of people..on the Sunset Strip that night and people were very nice and did not get in the way of the picture ..try and do that now in 2011..!!! by the way Johnny Jett Martinez our cuzzin took the picture.. he was great ! we never saw these pretty ladies again but..we could see they were bummed they wanted to stay and party with us..ha ha !
One thing I have to say is..we left to Hollywood California in Feb of 1988..and saying this i have to admit..why was I Texas Joe so stupid and shy when it came to chix..early on...? from 1981 when we started the band to 1988..here in the Rio Grande Valley alot of girls..liked me.! beautiful girls..why the hell was I so damn shy..? in High School and College..1979 to 1986..why the fuck didnt I talk to all those beautiful girls from school..and date them and have fun with them, alot of them are friends on Facebook now..isnt that funny..?
why was i so scared of them..? there are alot of very pretty girls in my home town...but it took moving to Los Angeles..and playing in Hollywood for me and maybe my bros to break the ice and really get to know women ! it was amazing..! Girls were everywhere..ready to help you in anyway they could! it was great believe me I lost my shyness very soon after arriving in Los Angeles...soo many wonderful and pretty girls wow ! just thinking of it makes me trip out a bit haha ! alot of kool dudes too but thats another story... girls is the story now....
the next picture is us The Valles Brothers Band playing @ Gazzarrii's a couple of months later..from when the picture was taken..so it was a Rocket Ride..back then from being new on the Hollywood Rock and Roll scene to playing on one of the main stages just weeks later..! plus we were good..and we have always been a damn good band...that helped..! I remember thier being 3 rd rate actors and porn stars in the audience that night..it was funny..but we went down a storm ..it was great...next to my rack of effects you can see Manabu "Nobi" Nobiraki..my Japanese guitar tech and great friend who I lost contact with, he was a great and wonderful friend..to all of us..very loyal a great guy ! we made alot of friends in Los Angeles...and we still keep in touch with alot of them..! we will post more pictures in the future !
After all those old pix and old memories...the next picture of a girl..is more current...2008 to be exact...
The poster model is a very beautiful and very young Jessica ..from South Texas she is a wonderful and daring soul and was very proud of her body...(as this was a semi -nude foto shoot)...since the Landing Amongst The Giant Mushrooms Concept album...Story..and motiff's...we have gone more prog, sci- fi ,otherworldy....more fantasy...and more psychedelic...Eloy ..Noe..and Texas Joe ...needed fairies..real faries for our promo..shots...and posters...after many ...searches..and coming up empty handed..and alot of frustrations ..most chix want lots of cash just to pose..! (very not do-able in this economy when your not rich !)..an old guy..rang me up form a bar he was hanging out at and said he had found a beautiful girl there who might work as my bands fairy...well Jessica was the girl..and boy was she awesome...! we had over 400 fotos taken of Jessica..and this one fit the bill (maybe one day we will publish a book about that adventure)..it was tuff..and alot of work...the photographer's name escapes me for now...but the guy who put the poster together is none other..than Rob Marx..the famous psych poster..guru from New Hampshire who is an amazing artist look him up he is great ! he has done work for the Grateful Dead ..what can i say he is very kool !
At a time when alot of girls had zero vision..and did not wanna cooperate with us..or were just simply side tracked and could not do the foto shoot ,Jessica came up to bat and was an amazing little fairy ! this poster will be with the Valles Flying Machine forever !
At this juncture in our life..more girls...will show up to help us out in some capacity or another and they are always welcomed and treated with respect...(Im waitng here in the Brownsville Public Library for one awesome hot girl, a college friend to show up so we can go have pizza ! ha ha ! ) .and we will always write songs about cool chix ..i.e. Shes The One..Butterfly Woman..Witch Tree..our list of girl/chic songs is very longgggg...! so hang in thier ladies and gentleman..trolls..wizards and fairies...
