Hi Everybody hope your doing well...We are putting up some pix of our last gig we have done as a band.
.from Oct 2010..we decided to stop playing in The Rio Grande Valley because the gigs we getting
shitty ier and shitty ier..and nobody was showing up ...the reasons are many...but it seems mainly
it is economics..people just dont have money...to go out for a night on the town....and we are not..
.rich enough yet to bombared people with ads announcing our shows.....its tuff right now....for sure..
For now we are just concentrating on finishing our Witch Tree cd...and our new 2011 Fairy Poster...and
getting new songs together for ..Sirenita Blues 5 song E.P.& Landing AMongst The Giant Mushrooms
24 song double album...
When we start touring again this summer of 2011 we will only be playing large shows in big cities..
should we play in the Rio Grande Valley it will only be in some sort of festival setting..or opening
for a major band..the days of struggling in bars are over.....
We seem to have hit some snags for our Witch Tree album so plan B is in effect...We more than Likely
will start pressing the cd next week last week of April 2011 so hopefully in 20 days we should have
our new cd ....
The fairy poster layout is pretty much already done we are just looking for a new layout artist to put the clip
art together...its gonna look nice !
As always we are writing new songs..but getting them down on tape is another matter...but its going well..
anyway..here are some pix of the bands last gig at a Place called Club Ambiente in McAllen, Texas
October 9th 2011...we played very well ..attendance was good...but in the end we decided enough is enough
no more crap bar gigs...in the Valley...
Above Club Ambiente October 9th 2011 ..last gig in Rio Grande Valley...until Witch Tree album and tour kiks off
no more small bar gigs ...the funny thing was ..weather was nice and cool...we had one of the best outdoor clubs
we have ever done,the stage was very large..the p.a. was nice...lights were good...but there comes a time
when you have to step up your game and leave the half ass bar gigs behind...in the end we mainly did this gig for ourselves..so we could air out the new songs on The Witch Tree album...plus we got paid..ha ha ! not many
bands are getting paid any more here in the Valley for shows...
