Hello..hope your doing well..and have had a great day..Today's blog covers..our 1st ever low volume gig in a small venue..just slightly above coffee house..vibe...but deffinately lower volume than a bar gig...we played last night July 13th 2011@ Papa Joe's Burger Joint in Harlingen Texas..to a very receptive crowd of locals ,Family and friends..some who drove over 25 miles to see us ! and we thank you all !
it was suppose to be an Acoustic gig for us..but Olivia Reber of EANDO..took care of that briliantly i might add...so we went another route and did a 12 string..low volume..reworking of a good number of songs of our new album Witch Tree..and it went off with out a hitch to great applause..! it was fun..both Eloy Valles and Noe Valles..performed great...and Texas Joe was deffinately up to the task..of note is the amazing ..reception to our song ..Landing Amongst The Giant Mushrooms ..which is not on any of our albums as of yet but it is on our Bandcamp.com...site...this song get really good responce from crowd we are noticing..and we are very pleased with this reaction....Jake one of the MGRS. od Papa Joe's told us to we on the lookout for a call..in a little over 2 weeks..so we were very glad for such a warm reception...We cant help but think we stumbled onto..a new direction ..we The Valles Flying Machine can take with our original songs. below are som pix from last nights gig..enjoy..!

Eloy & Noe Valles laying down the groove..the 1st gig Noe Valles does sitting down..Jazzer style...really this gig was a 1st on many levels for us ! also Noe used a tiny bass amp..but it sounded full..and Eloy was using Brush Style drum sticks for the gig..we rearranged the songs for a more...softer sound and it was amazing..sadly our video recorder didnt work due to batteries running out !
jazz lounge style vibe but very rockin and rollin the people liked it we were very happy .
Texas Joe's.. Wire Instruments Moon Ray 12 string guitar.. was brilliant..no hum no buzz..very sweet bright chimey sound..just used a Marshall Echohead pedal..and a small Behringer Preamp pedal..into the mixer..that was it ..had a nice sound..thnx to Jake for the P.A. / Eloy Valles used his small Sonor Vintage Jazz Kit with soft stixx sound great...
alot of people for a Wednesday nite it was great! Jake adjusting sound as the Valles Flying Machine took flight into reinterpretations of Witch Tree album songs ..great gig loved it !
Olivia Reber opened the show and she did very well..her set was very heartfelt..but rockin non the less..she performed very well..and the crowd enjoyed it big time !
stylisticly all over the map from hard rockers to..mellow ballads Olivia was in top singing form !
